I am primarily serving the Plano, Texas area. I am happy to discuss availability based on travel time and needs in Allen, North Dallas, Richardson areas. I try to keep a 5-10 mile radius to ensure that I am prompt for appointments, and keep travel time approximately 15 minutes.
-
My fees are $150 for a treatment session and $250 for an initial evaluation. I offer an Out-Of-Network Benefits form to submit for reimbursement, and accept HSA/FSA.
-
After our initial evaluation, I can start therapy as soon as a regular-schedule availability is open. This is typically less than 1 week. If you are using insurance, I must wait for possible pre-authorization and approval of services to begin and will keep you informed throughout the process. If my caseload is full, I will let you know about opportunities to join a waitlist as well as other therapists, agencies, or clinics I refer to.

YES! I am credentialed with Parkland Community Health Plan (CHIP & STAR), Superior Health Plan (CHIP & STAR), and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (PPO, CHIP, STAR, STAR KIDS, and STAR + PLUS).
I am currently an out-of-network provider for most other insurances. I am happy to help you understand your benefits for coverage and options to submit for reimbursement from your provider. Typically with a health care plan, you pay for my services at time of service, then will wait to be reimbursed by your insurance carrier. Services may be eligible for HSA/FSA use. -
If you are choosing to use insurance, I will do my best to help you understand your benefits, coverage, copay/deductible, and expectation for treatment costs.
I use SimplePractice as a portal to work with our insurance provider if you are wanting to use in-network coverage. If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, I am happy to prepare a document that you may submit for reimbursement from your insurance. “Superbills” include information and codes necessary for parents to seek reimbursement, though exact amounts to be reimbursed vary by plan. There is also a chance that your reimbursement will be denied, as many speech therapy codes are considered “developmental” and some plans do not cover speech therapy. I accept FSA/HSA card payments, as well as cash, check, credit card, and electronic payments via my practice portal on Simple Practice. -
I first conduct a thorough evaluation to determine goals, treatment plans, and appropriate referrals if needed. I will create a formal report that will provide information from my observations and standardized assessment. We can then begin therapy as soon as scheduling allows.
-
I am open to treatment in the home, daycare, preschool, private school, or ABA/development center. We will work together to coordinate official policies of the location as well as what might be the best fit for your child.
-
I am open to a teletherapy option in the state of Texas. I use Google Meet for HIPAA compliant teletherapy. Clients sign a teletherapy authorization form in intake. Teletherapy is typically an option if you are out of my treatment zone, in case of inclement weather, or if there is illness in the home.
-
I will discuss my professional recommendation after the initial evaluation, though I am open to weekly sessions or 2x/week. I require a 3 month (12 week) commitment to begin sessions prior to discussing reducing frequency. You are open to terminate sessions at any time, though I do ask for a 1 week notice.
3 months will help your child develop rapport with me, as well as give them an opportunity to absorb the information that I am teaching them. It’s important to consider a variety of factors and I’m open to discussing options with parents at any time. -
I am currently available Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am to 5 pm. Office Hours available for discussing insurance, intake, and available openings are available by appointment on Monday & Wednesday 1-2:30 PM. Please contact for a phone appointment, as I am available by email at hillary@chatchewspeechtherapy.com to schedule time to talk on the phone.
Therapy calendar typically follows Allen ISD for school closures, bad weather days, and holidays.

Initial evaluations are about 1 hour depending on the needs of the assessment. A treatment session is between 30-40 minutes depending on the engagement of the child, parent coaching time, upgrading home program, and transition for travel time. I do not recommend more than 40 minutes, as children typically struggle to engage past 25-30 minutes of intervention. Each session always requires preparation time, as well as post-session documentation for progress notes (15-20 minutes that is not face-to-face).

YES! I am experienced in bilingual or Spanish evaluations and therapy. Please let me know if your child has other linguistic influences and I would be happy to offer resources and support.
